Exmouth Eats: Eating Your Way Through Paradise

A tiny little coastal town nestled out on a peninsula in Western Australia, located on the top end of the Coral Coast, a stretch of highway that runs over 1,200 kilometers from Perth to Exmouth. This little town might seem insignificant at first glaze but it is the heart and soul of the famous Ningaloo Reef. A migratory home to some fascinating visitors and permanent residents such as the manta ray, the whale shark, and the humpback whale. Here you will find white sandy beaches, gorgeous coral reefs teeming with marine life, stunning outback ranges, and the little town that is the hub for it all, Exmouth.

Although the town may be small, it is full of character, heart and some delicious eats that should not be missed! There is a spot here for every occasion whether it is a beachside brunch, quick coffee, or a 5 star meal and cocktails at a fancy resort. We will take you through some of the best food in Exmouth for any occasion.

Breakfast Vibes

The most important meal of the day and lucky for you Exmouth has some amazing brekkie options to get you fueled up and ready for a day of fun. First up we have the Social Society which is located in the middle of town and serves up some amazing coffees and some healthy food options that will have you feeling fresh and nourished. This bright and airy café focuses on vegetarian and vegan options that will have even the most devout meat lover coming back for more. Try the banana pancake stack while you are there, it is to die for and gluten free and vegan!

Exmouth Eats

Next up we have another local favorite that is the perfect spot to head to for a long cruisy brunch that can be enjoyed looking out on the golf and if you are lucky spotting a whale or two while you sip your cappuccino. The Beach Shack is a humble little eatery that is true to its namesake. Located out of a town by about 15 minutes at Bundegi Beach this little shack serves up some really good times. So when you are in the mood to relax at a shack by the beach head on up there and be sure to try their famous eggs benny while you are at it.

Lunch

There is no time for lunch in Exmouth! You will be way too busy swimming with sea turtles and whale sharks, snorkeling at turquoise bay, or surfing the famous break at dunes. If you are on a tour lunch is provided and if you are exploring the westside on your own then a picnic affair will be in order! (But if you do happen to be in town and need some midday nourishment then our recommendations are Froth Brewery, Bamboo, The Social Society, and The Beach Shack.

Casual Dinner, Beers, Live Music

If there is one thing that Exmouth doesn’t lack it is good local breweries and amazing live music! If you are after somewhere with a classic pub fare, a wide selection of beers on tap and a bustling vibe then Froth Brewery on the main street in town is where you should head. With live music and various other events there is always something on at Froth. Be sure to try their signature exmouth prawns while you are sipping on a cold pint.

Next up we have Whalebone Brewery. Here you will find amazing pizza, carefully crafted beers, and a massive outdoor area complete with a playground for the little ones to run wild. There is also a stage here with live music most nights of the week during peak season and some pretty famous bands passing through if you are lucky. So grab the family and head on down for a night of pizza, beer, and dancing.
